Slackers....

We haven't been as dilligent as Steve and Ken in keeping our blog current over the holiday. We are getting back into Louisville tomorrow night at 1:00 in the morning (assuming we are on time) and plan on spending the next two days recovering from our fun time in Reno. Hopefully we will find the time in between naps to post pics from Fisher's birthday and Christmas. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

Five days until our baby is ONE YEAR OLD!!

We have been really busy lately which is why we have not put up any pictures. Fisher is walking all over now. He is still wobbly but is getting better with every day. We've enjoyed Christmas cards from all those who have sent them. Sorry, but don't be expecting one from us. Consider our blog as the official newsletter this year. Maybe next year I will get on the ball but as for this year I haven't even finished my Christmas shopping and for some people have yet to start. (Sorry Todd!)

This is why Fisher is not ready for little toy cars or trucks...everything goes in his mouth. PINK.

His big fat bottom lip. ORANGE.

He can multi-task. One in the mouth while the other is in his hand. There were some points in time that he had one in each hand and another in the mouth. PURPLE.

Flaunting what he's got while in his frog hat.

Grandma & Grandpa Church and Jedd came down from Cincinnati for the afternoon on Saturday to celebrate an early Christmas and birthday for Fisher since we are heading to Reno for our first Christmas since 2002.
It looks like Fisher is going to need glasses.

Fisher giving ice cream cake a try. Although we didn't give him very much, he seemed to like it. That was going to be a given considering he has not had much suger thus far. Unsweetened apple sauce is about as sweet as he has had it up until this point! How could he not like ice cream?

When he is tired, Fisher will grab his little blanket, rub it up by his face and start sucking his thumb. Gee, we don't know anyone who had (has) a blue textured blanket that likes to rub it by his/her face and sucked their thumb (much longer than considered normal).

Fisher in his outfit that my manager bought him for his birthday. I love the hoodie!

Fisher Magoo

Since our last post Fisher has learned how to read and has been catching up on the classics.

Fisher in my favorite outfit for the time being. He looks so cute walking around all wobbly in his overalls.

Supporting UNR with his socks.

This one reminds me a little of the blank stares you would see on Chula's face.

This is the boy's new favorite pose. He does this when he sees the Christmas tree. Normally he is looking up at the tree and not at us.

Today after church. It is cold enough for him to wear all of his fun little hats, which makes his Mom very happy.

Where oh where have the neighbors gone?? Oh where oh where can they be??

Before our favorite neighbors skipped town we noticed they had started using the back tree to dispose of dirty diapers and used profylactics. You want to guess where the ones went that didn't make it into the tree?

Upper left hand corner: used diapers in the tree
Upper right hand corner: cd floating in the stream
Middle: empty red soda box
Mid/Lower right: empty green soda can
Lower left through middle: approximately 10 dirty diapers

There are about 20 "ornaments" that didn't make their way into the tree.

We are pretty sure the neighbors have left the country...if they haven't left the country, they have definitely abandoned the apartment across from us. How can we tell? The scenery in the hall has not changed for at least 9 days now ...

Same exact view only with a few more "notices" to add to the whole motif. Even the rug is in the exact same position.

A Serving of Fisher

One of Fisher's favorite spots between the eilliptical and blinds.

He loves to wrap himself up in the blinds if we give him the chance. If you enlarge this picture his little fangs are sitting over his lips like a bulldog.

Chewing on THREE of his teething biscuits with the wrappers still on. He found them in his diaper bag while in the process of "escaping" in his towel after his bath.

Cute Fisher....

Definitely seen better days Fisher.... (Talk about a face only a mother can love.)

One of the few days he felt like attempting to drink out of his sippy cup instead of swatting it onto the floor or chucking it at his parents.

Marshmallow boy.

He was trying to get his hands on the camera when this was taken.

Fisher's first look at the Christmas tree. All three feet of it's glory!

"Hello" to the ornament. He is a little scared of the tree and doesn't want to touch it but he does giggle every time we move him in towards the ornaments.

Ebbs and Flows....

Today did not go as we had hoped. Todd did not receive any good news from schools but on the other hand he did not receive bad news either. Now we just have to continue to wait...and wait...and you get the point.

However, on the bright side, our favorite neighbors received an interesting notice today on their door. We were hoping it was a warning regarding their problem with littering...oh but it was so much better than that!!! They are being evicted and have a court date scheduled with a judge's signature included on that most blessed piece of recycled paper, which comes from trash that has been disposed of properly.

Although the following pictures may not be as good as some, let these be a tribute to our wonderful neighbors that have fulfilled our expectations of the Kentucky stereotype. Long live our neighbors...the relatives of Oscar the Grouch! May they torment some more innocent bystanders with their gift of garbage.

This was the view we had when we came home from our Thanksgiving weekend. The garbage bag had fallen over and there was stuff everywhere. Fisher would have had a hay day had we let him pick up (and eat) all of the little pieces that were everywhere.

This is what it still looks like....This picture was taken on November 26 and it is now December 1st.

Todd posing with our friend, the eviction notice. :)

So all in all, a not so good day was sprinkled with a little ray of sunshine...or should we say a little piece of trash??
