Our little Fish will not go to sleep
Fisher will not go to sleep tonight which is why there are about a gazillion new pictures of Fisher on here. Instead of this being the blog for Todd & Meagan Church, we should change the name to Fisher's life story and photo album.

Thumb sucking
Fisher's first thumb suck. He likes to suck his thumb a lot. It is cute at this point in time so we take pictures of it. It will not be cute when he is 13 and still sucking his thumb when he is hungry or tired. Because of this, we hope that it will only be a comfort for him while he is a baby.
Here are some of the the ways Fisher likes to suck his thumb:
In Reno... (Sorry this one is blurry.)
With Daddy...
Sitting up on the couch...
On the changing table...
Why suck just the thumb when you can do the whole fist??
In the carrier during his nap...
On his tummy.
..
In his church clothes...
(One of my favorite pictures of Fisher. When he is hungry and tired this is what he looks like and it still makes us smile whenever we see it.)

First time on the golf course
Here is a picture from right outside of Louisville. It is so green and makes Louisville much more enjoyable to look at. The golf course we went to last night was beautiful!

Last night we went to a beautiful golf course where we hit balls at their driving range. We didn't go until about 8:00 so the sun was going down and we (along with our friends) were the only people there. It was a lot of fun. Fisher played on his stomach, while on a blanket, for over an hour and was completely happy feeling his toes in the grass and chewing on his toys. The couple we went with have a little boy just over a year old who enjoyed collecting the golf balls like they were easter eggs. He was pretty cute. It was the perfect environment for me to hit balls because I get intimidated easily if too many people are around. It has been almost two years since I have pulled out my clubs so I was bound to miss a few.

Fisher wore his little golf outfit and looked so cute! These pictures were from a different day but he is in "the" outfit so I thought I would put them on here.

Todd is not "the whale"
Todd pointed it out to me that it looked as though I had called him a whale when the first picture I had on the entry was Fisher with Todd with the headline of "Fish and the whale". I was actually referring to Fisher's little outfit. I will be more careful in the future. I happen to think Todd is cute as can be and does not look like a whale :) I hurt my husband's feelings, and for that I am sorry. :(
Birth control
It is hard to see but the "stuff" on the onesie is really thick and disgusting. We wound up tossing it in the garbage and Fisher into the bathtub :)
I say we, but Todd (lucky for him) was away at school.

Fisher may have been funny last night but today was a different story. We started him on rice cereal a little over a month ago and with that comes a change in his daily "schedule". What used to be 4-5 cute little poops every day (I can call them cute now that we are dealing with something on a whole new level of NOT cute) has now turned into massive blowouts every few days. Today happened to be one of those days.
These pictures were taken after I had already started to clean up his bum and back.

Fish and the whale
Last night Fisher was being so funny!! He had both of us laughing so hard we were almost in tears. His little personality is definitely starting to come out and we love it! He had a huge burst of energy and we were able to get some of it on camera so we will be sending videos to those who like to receive them :)

Here he is with his daddy looking pretty cute in his little whale outfit. I am pretty sure it came from Steve & Katrina? I love it because he is starting to fit into a bunch of new clothes and we do little "dress up" days where I put him in a bunch of different outfits and take pictures. Fisher does not enjoy this at all but he is little and won't remember it when he is older (I hope) so I will continue on! When he becomes a left handed pitcher he can pay for therapy if it is needed.

New Fisher pic

This is the first time I have put a picture on here before sending it via email to everyone! Today Fisher enjoyed playing on his tummy. Most days he whines and cries after a few minutes of being there but has been improving on this over the past few days. This has puzzled Todd and me since Fisher is the one who rolls from his back to his tummy as soon as we put him down! He actually rolled from his stomach to back first, but seems to have forgotten how to do this and will only roll the other way.
Little sports fan

Hopefully Fisher will enjoy sports when he is older. As of right now, he seems to favor his left hand. Todd has said that Fisher will have to become a pitcher if he does turn out to be a leftie. That way he can send us on trips around the world. I remind Todd that Fisher could wind up being his Momma's height...in that case he will have to become a male gymnast instead. We may have to finance our trip around the world in a differenct way since there is not much money in gymnastics.
Excuse me, would you mind taking a picture?

Today I was searching through some old pictures when I came across this one. Last year we went with Todd's parents to Nauvoo over Memorial weekend. We had asked an older gentleman to take a family picture of us with the oxen. Thank goodness for digital cameras! After viewing this picture I asked him if he would mind taking one more hoping he would be able to get the top half in. We learned our lesson not to ask strangers to take pictures with our camera; at least not those who are over a certain age limit and have an eye sight deficiency.
