Various Fisher pictures...

Fisher giving Daddy a big slobbery kiss.

The boys watching football. Fisher always seems to lose one sock.

Fisher and Dad watching Jeopardy.

Smiling for the camera.

Fisher eating his Rice Krispies. One of his favorite things to do!

Helping Mom with the laundry.

Still has his blue eyes.

He is crawling everywhere!

Fisher pulls himself up on anything he can get close to.

A face only his family could love

We have a whole video of him smashing his face into the side of his pack n' play. Unfortunately it was a little too long to email. It is one of the more humorous ones we have.

Not thirty seconds before this picture he was smiling and laughing. Nap time!

That is what you are hoping it is not....a big line of snot. Sick.

Life as we've known it has changed...the kid is everywhere!

Here is the family in our most recent picture. Fisher was ready for his nap as indicated by the thumb in his mouth.

Already giving his Mom dirty looks....

Punishment for dirty looks! (ha ha...) This was one of Fisher's first times in his play pen. He seems to do okay in it for the most part. Sometimes he acts like he is being tortured and his freedom has been stripped away, fake crying and screaming- pretty much the whole works. Other times he happily bounces against the mesh walls acting like he is part of WWE. The kid is pretty entertaining.

Playing in his diaper box. He cried when I made him come out of it.

Fisher has recently learned the meaning of "no," although I am not sure how much he truly comprehends it. If we say "no" to him he will stop in his tracks and look over at us...then comes the lack of comprehension part of it. He proceeds to get this evil yet innocent grin on his face and will continue on with whatever it is we orginally were saying no to all the while looking straight at us challenging our authority.
This picture is an example of crawling towards the forbidden cords...look at mom...continue towards the forbidden cords...look at mom...make himself comfortable against the lazy boy while very sneakily (not sure if that is a word) grabbing the cords...look at mom...grin that grin that mom can't resist...lift cords up towards mouth...look at mom with that evil grin...never puts them in his mouth b/c he knows he will be in big trouble, but tests his mom anyway by moving them closer to mouth...mom says no (for about the 10th time), snaps a picture of "the look" and proceeds to put him in his play pen away from all cords.

Fisher's cute little puffy cheek smile that his mom and dad just love!

One interview down...

Most of those who look at our blog are aware of what is going on in our lives at the moment but I thought I would add a quick little blurb anyway. Todd has recently applied for dental school. We are currently waiting for interviews and impatiently waiting for Dec. 1st when the first wave of acceptances occur. Todd recently had his first interview with University of Louisville and has two more lined up with Arizona and Case Western in Cleveland. We definitely have our preferences but would be thankful to get accepted anywhere.

Time to baby proof!

Reaching for Pirates of the Caribbean, which was not the first he had decided to go after, as you can see.

Got it!

Sunday Afternoon

Fisher and Mama.

Took this picture while he was talking to us. That is why his face looks funny. He is very animated anymore.

Standing like a champ. He pulled himself into standing position for the first time (all by himself) the other day in his crib.

Fisher being a cute little guy! He loves his remotes.

He was actually trying to push out a poop in this one. Notice the face starting to turn red. If you had volume you would hear him grunting.

Bear Crawling like a champ!

Sleeping is an adventure.

Fisher is in a different position every time we check on him. Recently he has taken to the bum in the air approach.

He loves using his bumper as a pillow.

Sitting up while protesting sleep leads to falling over into a very awkward position when finally falling sleep.

Going through a phase of sleeping sideways with feet through the slats in the crib.

More Kentucky...

Here is a cicada that was hanging out by our slider door. It was HUGE and ugly. If you would like to learn a little more about cicadas feel free: I found this website when I was verifying that this was, indeed, a cicada: http://cicadamania.com/cicadas/

The big 27...

Todd recently celebrated his 27th birthday. Steve and Katrina came down on Saturday and wound up sleeping over and leaving Sunday morning so they could make it back up to church in time. We had a lot of fun with them and are glad they hung out with us! Todd and I repeatedly WORKED Steve playing Family Feud (at least that is how I choose to remember it) and they were able to experience Penn Station for the first time. It is a sandwich shop that has my favorite Philly Cheese Steak sandwich of all time!

The boys went to Best Buy while Katrina and I went to the mall with Fisher. We found these cute little hats for Fisher & Finn for .99 cents on major clearance! Katrina also found her future blessing outfit for Finn....it only cost a meager $120.00!!! This picture is of Fisher all tuckered out after a day of horseback riding in Kentucky.

Fisher Picture Time!

Both of my cute boys. Fisher in shoes for the first time in months!!! Everyone jokes with us that he doesn't like to wear shoes because he was born in Kentucky...

It is fun putting things on Fisher's head because he doesn't quite grasp the concept of reaching up and pulling it off. Fisher had a fun time playing with Katrina and the string.

This was Fisher chewing on Velcro the day before his first tooth broke through. Eight months old!

Big smile. Sorry for the blury picture but I love when I can actually get one of his big smiles on camera!
Working on being up on all fours. He now crawls just fine on all fours (when he is in the mood to do so).
Falling asleep in his high chair.
We love Fisher just out of the bath. He is our little nudist and loves rolling around in his towel. He loves it even more when he can escape the towel. It is pretty cute with him crawling now because we'll just see his little bum waddling away from us thinking he is pretty sneaky and fast!

Todd's first time (posting)

So this is my first time. I'm a little scared, yet curious.

Anyway, I thought I'd share my thoughts on science. Now don't get me wrong, I know science (referring to chemistry, biology, physics, etc.) has given us many great things. I even have a friend named Gordon who uses science (physics) in a very practical manner. But, some people have some odd interests like cow brains and Flourine. I don't really care about much of this stuff and actually it kind of grosses me out. Anyway, I guess to each his own. I get up early in the morning, put on funny looking trousers, stand in freezing cold water for hours at a time, attempting to trick little fish into eating pieces of wire and string that look like flies, and love every minute of it!

Another thing that bugs me (by the way we are watching Rockstar Supernova, which I would think could form a pretty good band considering who is in it, but the songs they have introduced so far are a little weak) is girls who try to be hard rockers. I'm not saying girls can't enjoy hard rock, because my wife does, but I find it funny when sweet innocent looking girls talk about how they love Pantera or Tool, but then you ask them about what songs they like and they say "Rockin' Never Neverland" (which know is entitled "Enter Sandman", "Unforgiven" or "Every Rose Has Its Thorn". It rubs me wrong. It is kind of like women sportscasters, it just doesn't seem to fit. A girl screaming "Helter Skelter" just doesn't have the same effect on me as Paul from the Beatles. Linda Kohn saying something like, "Kobe dropped 81 on the Raptors tonight, while Kirilenko was swatting shots like flies on a wall!" or some other woman announcer saying, "Reggie Bush breaks two tackles, jukes left, cuts right, and dives to ward the goalline!" hurts my ears.

Happy Little Guy

Fisher is always happy when he can play with his food. This particular day consisted of applesauce and blueberries.

Sad little boy

Fisher had a sad little day the other day and was crying hard enough that he shed tears. He normally is a pretty happy little guy and so tears are not a normal occurance.

Fish and the Frog

Fisher has finally discovered his stuffed animals. His favorite toy is still the little ring that is always in his mouth but every now and then he will bond with his frog for 24 hours or so.

Freshening up on his Jeopardy skills with his frog thinking cap on.

Fisher and his frog.

So much to love about Kentucky

This was one of the first signs we saw after moving to Louisville. If you can't see it very well it says "Safe Communities are Everybody's Responsibility," with a gun and pot leaf crossed out along with the black and white hand shaking.
