So this is my first time. I'm a little scared, yet curious.
Anyway, I thought I'd share my thoughts on science. Now don't get me wrong, I know science (referring to chemistry, biology, physics, etc.) has given us many great things. I even have a friend named Gordon who uses science (physics) in a very practical manner. But, some people have some odd interests like cow brains and Flourine. I don't really care about much of this stuff and actually it kind of grosses me out. Anyway, I guess to each his own. I get up early in the morning, put on funny looking trousers, stand in freezing cold water for hours at a time, attempting to trick little fish into eating pieces of wire and string that look like flies, and love every minute of it!
Another thing that bugs me (by the way we are watching Rockstar Supernova, which I would think could form a pretty good band considering who is in it, but the songs they have introduced so far are a little weak) is girls who try to be hard rockers. I'm not saying girls can't enjoy hard rock, because my wife does, but I find it funny when sweet innocent looking girls talk about how they love Pantera or Tool, but then you ask them about what songs they like and they say "Rockin' Never Neverland" (which know is entitled "Enter Sandman", "Unforgiven" or "Every Rose Has Its Thorn". It rubs me wrong. It is kind of like women sportscasters, it just doesn't seem to fit. A girl screaming "Helter Skelter" just doesn't have the same effect on me as Paul from the Beatles. Linda Kohn saying something like, "Kobe dropped 81 on the Raptors tonight, while Kirilenko was swatting shots like flies on a wall!" or some other woman announcer saying, "Reggie Bush breaks two tackles, jukes left, cuts right, and dives to ward the goalline!" hurts my ears.
