16 Weeks

Cooper is 16 weeks old. The time has flown. He is in size 2 diapers, he loves to roll on his side but has no interest in rolling over from tummy or back. He is starting to grab onto the toys that hang from his play mat, blows a lot of raspberries and slobbers and drools like a rabid dog but there is no sign of any teeth. He loves to talk and it is a really loud and weird noise. It is pretty funny. He adores Fisher, loves when we grab him from the crib in the morning. We were going to move him out of our room but we like to have him close to us and figure there is no harm keeping him in our room a little longer. He laughs when we take his clothes off. For some reason he thinks it is the funniest thing ever to have clothes pulled over his face. He loves to snuggle with burp cloths (not at night) and to chew on them. He also loves to chew on his fingers, loves taking baths (still goes happily spastic the moment he hits the water), has discovered mirrors and loves his swing. Cooper is our happy little baby and we are so grateful to have him in our lives.

It has been an emotional past few days when it comes to Cooper. Some members of our extended family lost a baby only a few weeks older than him and our hearts go out to them. We ache for them. We have cried for them. It is impossible to understand what they must be going through. Every time we hold or snuggle with Cooper it reminds us of how precious life is. I am so thankful for my Heavenly Father and the Plan of Salvation. I am grateful to know that I will see my family again after this mortal life is over. I am grateful to know that my cousin and his wife will see their sweet little baby again one day and I am so thankful that they also know this to be true because how else would you move on from something so tragic? Our prayers and thoughts have been with them since we heard and we hope they can find some peace during this difficult time.

very cute pictures. Cooper is getting big so fun to see him play with toys. I too have cried for Riley and am grateful for the plan of salvation and what a wonderful family we have.
