The trip thus far....

Dum Dums saved our lives on the plane. Unfortunately we boarded the planes and then sat for forty minutes on both runways while they repaired planes or waited for the ten planes in line before us to take off. Ten suckers later we landed in Reno. Fisher didn't sleep a wink the entire two flights but was still a good kid.

Meagan and Todd.

On Saturday night after Bre's reception (which I failed Michele by not taking a single picture) we sat outside on the deck with the family and Amy & Justin and watched fireworks from the new mall across the way. It was an awesome view and a fun little treat. Todd in the mean time was off catching the frogs that were keeping Ken & Alicia up a night. He finally caught one and when he went to show me I screamed and jumped and this is the picture I took. I think I got all freaked out after Amy told me of all her bad dreams about frogs...At least I am scared of something legit...Sharks eat people! Just kidding Amy!

This is what Amy and I were so scared of.

Family photo.

On Sunday my mom and I took a drive in Dad's car. It really grew on me which made Todd love me even more! I liked it so much that after we picked up Aunt Jeanne I made my mom sit in the back all squished up so that I could continue driving.

Fisher has enjoyed playing at the park down the street and in the backyard. Every morning Grandpa Lund gets him up from his crib and takes him down to feed the birds.

Jumping with Grandma Lund on the trampoline.

The boys looking cool in the their glasses.

Fisher all set for his walk with Todd, Ken, Alicia & Abby.

Fisher and Uncle Ken. He loves riding on shoulders.

This was our first time meeting our niece/cousin, Abby. She is such an adorable rolly-polly, cuddly baby. Fisher liked her a lot more when Todd and I weren't holding her. Thanks Ken & Alicia for coming to Reno for the weekend. We had a fun time and Abby is such a cutie! Now Fisher has officially met all two of his cousins.

Magoo really likes Chula but she hates him. Yesterday he kept trying to grab her tail feathers while I was holding her.

Today we went to visit my friend Emily at her parent's house. They had baby chicks that Fisher was able to play with. He liked all the animals they had and loved running around exploring everything.

If you look closely you can see Fisher in the upper left hand corner lying on the ground. He fell backwards and so Todd had to go rescue him. He likes to play the trust game where you fall backwards....he hasn't learned the concept that in order to trust there has to be someone standing there to catch him. We keep trying to teach him- maybe this did the trick. Don't worry, he wasn't hurt, just a little startled.

All better!

How much longer until the flight is over with?

Fisher's new pose for the camera. He loves to smile with his eyes closed tightly showing his teeth.

Fisher would make a great little gymnast. He has the perfect form and pointed toes! (This is the first step in climbing up onto the table.)

Showing his not so graceful side...

It may be a while before we post anything. We are leaving for the airport in about 40 minutes for our wedding/reception marathon! I cannot wait for the flight to be over with. Only 9 more hours to go!

Some do Derby...We Declutter.

As most of you are aware it is Kentucky Derby week. For us this means staying inside and avoiding all the traffic and crowds. Yesterday I didn't have to work since it was a holiday, known in these parts as Oaks Day, so Todd and I decided to work on decluttering our place before the move. It is crazy because this is going to be our last weekend in this apartment. (You may have heard a huge sigh of relief coming from our end.) We will be out of town the next two weekends and the one after that will be moving weekend!

While we were cleaning Fisher played with his new favorite toy. He received it for his birthday from Ken & Alicia (I think?) and has recently decided he loves it.

Notice the boxes in the background. They are taking over our apartment. One of these days we might start packing.

Fisher coloring....

...and then deciding that eating the crayon is much more fun than coloring.....

...only to discover that maybe coloring is more fun than eating wax.

Showing Daddy some love.

Lately it is everything we can do to keep Fisher from climbing on to everything. He loves trying to climb to the top of the couch and just last night Todd was making dinner while I had run an errand (yes, I know. He is wonderful) and he went out to check on Fisher only to find him STANDING on the coffee table. The kid can't even figure out how to step off a big book without falling down let alone our coffee table. That was a little bit of a scare.

Where's Fisher!?!?! (This is our peek-a-boo game.)

THERE HE IS!

Peek-a-Boo when we kick it up a notch.

Fisher was helping us go through our storage bins. He hindered the process more than helping but that is to be expected with a 16 month old. He loved playing with my sarongs.

After a long day of playing he decided to take a nap. Just kidding. This was from today. We helped our friends, the Nalls, move this morning. It is sad to see everyone go and weird to think that not too long ago we thought we would be leaving for Cleveland. Anyway, Todd went over early to help move, I brought Fisher later and then Todd took Fisher home while I stayed to help clean. When I came home the boys were taking a little snooze together. I couldn't resist taking a picture.

Happy Anniversary to us!!

** WARNING!!! AN OBSCENE AMOUNT OF PICTURES ARE INCLUDED IN THIS POST!**
***
On May 2, 2002 Todd and myself were married for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was a wonderful day and one that we look back on with fond memories. We were lucky to not have any disasters of any sort and beautiful weather. For those of you who were married in SLC as well, you might be jealous to know that I had the bridal room all to myself...and we had the steps and temple grounds for pictures for about two hours before another couple showed up. Can I say a miracle?!?! The only bad thing we can remember is the headache that I suffered due to the ridiculously excessive amount of bobby pins in my hair that day...It was seriously close to 100...no joke. I haven't had to purchase one since that day.
*
We can't believe that five years have already passed by. Some people probably thought we wouldn't make it. Heck, WE had days where we thought we wouldn't make it! But here we are- still married and still happy with one great 16 month old who keeps us on our toes. We have come to the conclusion that we would do it all over again even though we are both bull headed, strong willed, stubborn suckers...I know that those all mean pretty much the same thing. It only strengthens my point in stating that we are stubborn, stubborn, stubborn! It didn't always make it easy but it kept things interesting :) What it all comes down to is the fact that there is no one we would rather spend our free time with than each other. We are best friends. Although we were married at a young age it has only allowed us to grow up with one another...okay, so maybe we aren't quite grown-up yet but it sure seems like we are doing a lot of grown up things such as having babies, buying houses and hello! Being married for FIVE YEARS! That seems pretty grown up to me.
*
Anyway to end a long session of rambling it comes down to the fact that I love Todd and can't wait for the next five years with him and since I am the one writing this I will state that Todd loves me too. I feel completely secure in writing that even though I didn't check to verify that is correct. Call it a woman's intuition. :)
*
So here come the pictures. There are a lot of them. As I started downloading them I kind of lost track and pretty soon I had way too many. The only problem is that I am not a blogging pro yet even though I have doing it for almost a year and for some reason when I try to delete one picture it deletes all of them! (Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.) So for now, you will have about the same amount of pictures of me and Todd as I did bobby pins in my hair on my wedding day :)

Have to throw one kissing picture in there. It was our wedding day!

Both of us looking a few pounds lighter than we do these days :)

Nauvoo over Memorial weekend.

Robbie's mission homecoming. This was when Todd refused to shave his beard. It was a BIG RED beard. (Four months pregnant.)

Five days before Fisher was born!

It is hard for me to look at this picture of myself but it was definitely in the top two for best days of my life. That and marrying my sweetheart!

My 24th birthday. We had just returned from dinner and Fisher was hungry!

Moving on...

I promised certain people I would make sure to get some more pictures on here so that the first one to be shown would not be poop on my arm.

This is Fisher's other spot. There is the spot with the blankets and then in between the sliding door and the elliptical. Crazy kid.

Fisher being smushed by Dad.

I found this ball at the grocery store yesterday and Fisher loves it!

No one ever said parenting was a clean job!

Fisher does not like Todd and me to hug, kiss or cuddle in front of him. Almost every single time we express affection in front of him he will start to cry and proceed to get very upset with us if this horrendous act does not stop immediately! However, sometimes Fisher will relax if we include him in our cuddle or hug. So today we (as in me & Todd) were hugging and Fisher comes storming towards us. We picked him up and had a nice little family hug which made him a happy little camper. Afterwards I put Fisher down....that is when the discovery occurred. All of a sudden I catch a glimpse of something....something brown....and wet....all over my arm.....I think I just threw-up in my mouth. At first we couldn't tell where it came from until we saw that "it" had shot up Fisher's back.

I know it is gross..what can I say? He's our little guy and we love him...poop on our arms and all

So I undressed the kid to put him in the bath and gave him some Pedialyte to help with the diarrhea and he runs to the corner of his room with the drink.

He then proceeds to "hide" from me. I wouldn't be a true parent if I didn't do the baby butt picture to humiliate him at least once in his life.

I am so funny!! I poop all over my mom and pee on the carpet!! Funny guy!
