The wedding

The plane trip out. Fisher still suffering with a beanie being put on his head, by the flight attendant, in a funny position.

Fat little boy playing in the sun and grass.

Fisher had a lot of fun playing in the grass while we waited for Robbie and Erin to come out.

Fisher and Daddy.

Our little family. (Not a fan of my hair in this picture but it was one of the only family pictures we had.)

Fisher and his keys. It was warm in the sun so we took off his sweater. That was okay though because then we could see his cute little tie that took forever for us to find! Thanks Katrina!

The bride and groom.

All of the boys.

Katrina, Aunt Carol, and Uncle Dave.

Mark, Kim, and Aunt Jeanne.

I don't know why this picture showed up twice.

The boys.

Although Todd is included in this photo we seem to be having a hard time identifying the other culprits...Ken??? Nope, not Ken. Steve? Nope, not Steve.....hmmmmmmm....who could they be? (Two words: Todd's exoneration.) hee hee.

This is what happens when people:
1. don't tell us which camera to look at.
2. forget to count to three.

Too bad I didn't wear my red shoes to the reception.

(Todd& Meagan, Ken& Alicia, Erin& Robbie, Grandma Lund, Steve& Katrina)

My THREE sisters. It has taken a long time for me to be able to say that!

(Alicia, Katrina, Erin, Meagan)

Fisher's Hall of Fame Picture

On our flight out to Washington for Robbie's wedding we had Fisher decked out in his Bengals gear. It just so happened that Anthony Munoz (http://www.profootballhof.com/hof/member.jsp?player_id=158), a Cincinnati Bengals NFL Hall of Famer, was on the same flight to SLC. Todd asked him if he would take a picture with Fisher and he obliged. He was very nice.
The only thing I don't like about this picture is that the flight attendant put Fisher's beanie on in a very awkward position on his head. He kind of reminds me of having ear muffs on or even a little bit like Princess Leia.

The apartment saga continues....

When we got back from the wedding we were absolutely exhausted and ready to be home in our own bed...that is until we saw the apartment across from ours and the many bags (four to be exact) of trash, two vacuum cleaners, and the table top that had been adorning the hallway for weeks now. Not too long after the previous picture had been taken a giant plant was added to give the hallway more of a jungle feel. It is hard to see how big this plant really is. It is BIG- pretty much the size of a full black garbage bag.

Fisher Magoo

Fisher loves when Todd throws him up over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

Fisher sprawled out in his crib.

Our big boy is not as big as we thought!

Fisher went in for his 9 month check up yesterday. Everyone is always making comments on how big he is for his age and saying things like "My what a big boy he is!" It turns out he only weighed 19 lbs. 13 oz. and was 27 1/4 inches. Those figures put him in in the 35% for weight and only the 25% in height. Everything looked good and Todd was the lucky guy to hold him while Fisher had to have blood drawn from his finger. He (Fisher not Todd) cried until he had the bright yellow band-aid on his finger which he then proceeded to suck off his finger. We had to get a second on the band-aid.

The "big boy" in his high chair smiling for the camera.

Playing with the remote that is off limits to him.

He still enjoys taking baths in the baby bath tub. Recently he has started sitting up in it even though it puts him at an awkward angle. He has been sitting up for a long time now but would normally lean back and relax during bath time. Not anymore! It is about time to move to the big tub.
Giving Mommy a sad look. He is always hungry and tired after church. We thought for sure he had grown out of his carrier but he still "officially" fits for at least another 2 lbs and 3 inches. Whoo hoo!

Per Request....Before and After

I had a recommendation to do a before and after photo so here goes:

Our first family photo. As you can see (and by the picture in the post previous to this one) I put on weight everywhere when pregnant, especially in my face. You can just call me "Big Momma" and I will not be offended one bit. I was a big girl!

I don't have a whole bunch of pictures of me and I don't have any that are profile tummy shots so this is the best one I have. It does show that I have lost some of the weight in my face...thank goodness!

Nine months ago...

It is so weird to think that nine months ago tomorrow (actually today since it is now early morning on Saturday) we were on the way to the hospital for me to give birth to Fisher. The time has flown by and with both of my sisters-in-law expecting in the next few months it has made me think back on our Christmas of 2005 when Fisher was our big Christmas present. I wanted to share some of the photos from the first few days of Fisher's life since it makes me happy to look back at them.

The picture above was one day after my due date. I went to the hospital at 2:30 AM that night (or the 23rd).

Exactly 15 minutes after Fisher was born. He was born at 5:55 PM on Dec. 23rd. Dad was the first one to hold him and what a proud dad he was!

I love both of the pictures above. It was a smooth transition for Todd into fatherhood and the whole experience made me love him more than I ever thought possible. We couldn't get over Fisher's blonde hair.

Our little conehead swaddled and content on the morning we were to go home. It was Christmas day.

It is so hard to believe he was this little at one time. He has pretty much outgrown the carrier. We are going to squeeze him into it until our trip to Washington for Robbie's wedding and then it is into a bigger car seat!

Various Fisher pictures...

Fisher giving Daddy a big slobbery kiss.

The boys watching football. Fisher always seems to lose one sock.

Fisher and Dad watching Jeopardy.

Smiling for the camera.

Fisher eating his Rice Krispies. One of his favorite things to do!

Helping Mom with the laundry.

Still has his blue eyes.

He is crawling everywhere!

Fisher pulls himself up on anything he can get close to.

A face only his family could love

We have a whole video of him smashing his face into the side of his pack n' play. Unfortunately it was a little too long to email. It is one of the more humorous ones we have.

Not thirty seconds before this picture he was smiling and laughing. Nap time!

That is what you are hoping it is not....a big line of snot. Sick.

Life as we've known it has changed...the kid is everywhere!

Here is the family in our most recent picture. Fisher was ready for his nap as indicated by the thumb in his mouth.

Already giving his Mom dirty looks....

Punishment for dirty looks! (ha ha...) This was one of Fisher's first times in his play pen. He seems to do okay in it for the most part. Sometimes he acts like he is being tortured and his freedom has been stripped away, fake crying and screaming- pretty much the whole works. Other times he happily bounces against the mesh walls acting like he is part of WWE. The kid is pretty entertaining.

Playing in his diaper box. He cried when I made him come out of it.

Fisher has recently learned the meaning of "no," although I am not sure how much he truly comprehends it. If we say "no" to him he will stop in his tracks and look over at us...then comes the lack of comprehension part of it. He proceeds to get this evil yet innocent grin on his face and will continue on with whatever it is we orginally were saying no to all the while looking straight at us challenging our authority.
This picture is an example of crawling towards the forbidden cords...look at mom...continue towards the forbidden cords...look at mom...make himself comfortable against the lazy boy while very sneakily (not sure if that is a word) grabbing the cords...look at mom...grin that grin that mom can't resist...lift cords up towards mouth...look at mom with that evil grin...never puts them in his mouth b/c he knows he will be in big trouble, but tests his mom anyway by moving them closer to mouth...mom says no (for about the 10th time), snaps a picture of "the look" and proceeds to put him in his play pen away from all cords.

Fisher's cute little puffy cheek smile that his mom and dad just love!

One interview down...

Most of those who look at our blog are aware of what is going on in our lives at the moment but I thought I would add a quick little blurb anyway. Todd has recently applied for dental school. We are currently waiting for interviews and impatiently waiting for Dec. 1st when the first wave of acceptances occur. Todd recently had his first interview with University of Louisville and has two more lined up with Arizona and Case Western in Cleveland. We definitely have our preferences but would be thankful to get accepted anywhere.

Time to baby proof!

Reaching for Pirates of the Caribbean, which was not the first he had decided to go after, as you can see.

Got it!

Sunday Afternoon

Fisher and Mama.

Took this picture while he was talking to us. That is why his face looks funny. He is very animated anymore.

Standing like a champ. He pulled himself into standing position for the first time (all by himself) the other day in his crib.

Fisher being a cute little guy! He loves his remotes.

He was actually trying to push out a poop in this one. Notice the face starting to turn red. If you had volume you would hear him grunting.

Bear Crawling like a champ!
