Baby Chandler "Finn" Martel Lund is here!

Todd and I are finally an aunt & uncle! Katrina and Steve had their baby today at 4:29 PM. (Well, Katrina did the dirty work while Steve was a supportive husband.) We were lucky to be only 3 hours away and so we drove up to see the new baby. He is adorable!!

This is a good shot of his hair.

Katrina and Chandler. I wanted to be careful not to post a picture that she would not like. Hopefully this one is okay, Katrina! She looked great for having just had a baby. Make-up, earrings...you would never know she had just given birth WITHOUT any pain meds...what a woman!

My big brother a daddy...I love it! It was cute seeing how gentle and tender he was with him. Not two words I would have used to describe him when I think back to how he would hide my blankie, stack brooms and mops (and anything else he could get his hands on) up against the slider bathroom door while I was in there and let's not forget him hiding behind every dark corner possible late at night to jump out and scare me...Who would have ever thought that "gentle and tender" would be a part of him?? :)

Chandler after being un-swaddled. He continued to sleep.

Fisher and Todd after we had just arrived.

Todd holding our "baby" who is not looking so little next to Chandler, who I could not wait to get my hands on! It was like holding a doll.

Fisher looking at Chandler and Steve. He loved the baby and kept wanting to touch him.

Steve already posted this picture to their site but I really liked it and wanted it on ours as well :)

Thanksgiving in Cincinnati

We spent Thanksgiving with Todd's family in Cincinnati this year. Fisher had quite a few "firsts" over the four days. It was his first Thanksgiving, for starters. He went bowling for the first time, went on a merry-go-round for the first time, and took his first steps!

Fisher getting ready for Thanksgiving dinner!

Sitting on his new toy for the first time.

Grandpa Church showing Fisher the telephone that goes with the car. It is actually called a Chatter Telephone. He should know exactly what to do with a phone since he sees his mom talking to Grandma Lund on the phone about five times a day....maybe a slight exaggeration....just maybe.

Daddy helping Fisher get started on pushing. After a few tries of pushing his toy around we took it away and he took three or four steps! Yeah!

Fisher and Todd hanging out at the bowling alley. There was a girl of about 16 who was smoking right next to us and kept blowing smoke right in Fisher's direction. I felt like grabbing the cigarette and throwing it in her face, telling her she was NOT cool and she was way too young to be smoking but instead held my tongue. Fisher was really good even though he was really tired.

Not the most flattering of me but it was the best I had from the weekend. My mother-in-law got a great one of me bowling with my backside being the only thing you saw....thanks a lot! This one was slightly more appealing.

Todd celebrating me kicking his booty at bowling.

Grandma Church feeding the boy.

Loves to clap. He spent the whole weekend clapping, waving "bye bye," and doing laps on his Chatter Telephone Car.

Finally some new Fisher pictures!

We've been slacking on updating our site. Here are some more Fisher moments.

Eating his favorite yougurt in his "Baby's First Christmas" bib.

He is training to be a scholar like his daddy.

His idea of working out on the elliptical.

Trying to grab the camera.

Mohawk. It is almost time for his first trim.

Thought I would give YouTube a try...

Most of you have seen this video already but I had to pick one to be the guinea pig. Ignore the mess... I was making my invitations.

Apartment Chapter 4: Christmas Tree Decorating Kentucky Style...

Todd and I are counting down the days until we can move out of our apartment. We recently inherited some new neighbors. I won't say much about them except that Todd was thinking about calling the immigration services one night when they were being loud and obnoxious.
So one night when I was up by myself it was about 12:30 or 1:00 in the morning and these particular neighbors were out in the hall being soooo loud, saying things I couldn't understand (hence the immigration services threat) and I decided I had had it. I went out only to find four guys trying to move the most gigantic TV I have ever seen inside and up the stairs. Had it not been at this time of night I would have found the situation humerous. Instead I proceeded to tell them that it was late and they needed to be quiet. It sounds much nicer when I type it but I was not happy. Anyway, Todd and I were talking later and decided that most people would not be moving a TV of that size in at that time of night unless they got it by some means that was not exactly legal...

So our neighbors that pile trash outside in the hallway have recently started using other means to despose of trash....namely dirty diapers, plastic bags and used cond.....well just look in the upper left corner and see if you can figure it out.

How many months are left on our lease??

The many faces of Fisher

Teething biscuit anyone? There is going to be some available on his shirt at any moment...

The "ghetto pacifier" returns....he still loves to chew on the thing. He still has the blue eyes!

The boy sporting his Chuck Taylors...He spent the whole time tripping over them but it was fun for a few minutes...

Here is his mohawk. We are thinking about taking him to church like this. The teeth add a nice touch.

Happy little boy...

Really happy little boy...

Fisher loves to peek up at things and around corners...

Getting into the photo albums....and then acting all innocent when I call him out on it...

The domestication of Meagan...the saga continues...

One of the couples who we are good friends with are expecting a baby girl. I decided it was time to attempt to throw my first baby shower. I was so proud of myself when I made 40 invitations and actually got them out in a timely manner. They were fairly simple since there were so many to make but I think they turned out all right considering it was my first attempt ever of making them.....

The night before the shower I started to make a batch of Monkey Bread (yet another attempt for me to broaden my domestic skills.) It was too good to be true...somewhere between the night before and the morning of, there was mix-up and I arrived at the shower not 30 minutes early as planned but 40 minutes late....I think I will stick to just showing up instead of hosting.

I know some of you may be scared at how domestic I am becoming. Relax...it is still me. The other night I was craving tapioca and without reading the directions all the way through proceeded to pour the entire box of tapioca into the milk instead of the 3 tablespoons directed....I didn't notice anything funny until I read the instructions "mixture will thicken as stirred." Hmmmmm....my mixture was thick the second I poured the whole box in. From there it had no where to go except to turn into cement. My sweet husband humored me and ate some of it. Later I found he had dumped the rest in the garbage :)

Fisher Pictures

Fisher after having eaten some tomato dinner that dyed his face orange.

Holding onto his table leg.

The most recent sleeping position. We snuck into his room at about midnight to take this picture.

Being very serious...He loves the washer and dryer.

There's a smile!

Our little eskimo...The arms and legs were too long. He was tripping and rolling all over the place. It was too funny!

A red-eyed eskimo vampire.

Our little helper..

Fisher looking rather small in his Bengals onesie that is too big for him. I love when he stands on his tip toes.

Helping me unload the dishes.

Still helping...

Today was the first time I ever pulled out the pots and pans for him. I will probably stick to tupperware since he seemed to enjoy grinding his teeth against the handles of the pots and his little teeth won't last for long if he does that every day.

Fisher's first October 31st!

Fisher was a cow for Halloween this year. We considered him to be a bull since there were no udders on the costume.

He finally discovered the toy Grandma and Grandpa Lund brought back from Singapore. We still have to be careful to make sure he doesn't chew on the little balls but he hasn't tried to eat them at all as of yet. He loves the noise it makes.

Fisher and Mama on his first Halloween.

On the Friday before Halloween there was a Trunk-or-Treat at our church. Fisher had a fun time playing with the pumpkins and chewing on his TWIX.

Demonstrating his acting skills ...can you tell he is a cow?

Grandma Church feeding the blue eyed boy.

He is always happy when he has a table leg to grasp.

Grandpa Church holding his favorite little cow (I mean bull).

Fisher's weekend in Lafayette

We visited Steve and Katrina in Lafayette this past Friday night and Saturday. It was nice hanging out with them. (Thanks for letting us invade your space!) Fisher had fun with new things to explore. Poor Finn will not have anything that Fisher hasn't marked with drool already. Oh- and the crib & bedding is so cute!

I love this picture of Fisher! It describes his weekend perfectly: Standing, window, blinds, and pumpkins. Enough said.

Hanging out at the window... We couldn't get him away from there!

Playing with the blinds....

Sitting with the pumpkins....

Playing with the pumkins...
