February Happenings

 Fisher still spends a lot of his time dressing up.  Here he is with his buddy, Spiderman (aka Cohen.)

 Cooper is preparing to be a big brother. 

 This is a scary thought.  Cooper around babies is not always comforting.

The boys spend a lot of time rough housing.  Cooper loves to attack Fisher which might have something to do with my reservations of Cooper being around the baby.

 Fisher is very patient with Cooper and all of his attacks.

 Playing toys together.  They still do not share as well as we would like but it is cute to watch them play together even if we do have to constantly break up fights.

 Valentines Day was spent in PJ's and snow boots while playing with balloons.  The day became even better when the mailman delivered packages from both sets of grandparents.  Thank you!

More TV time.  I will look back on this phase of life as the time where I let my kids watch way too much TV.  I am so tired...

Fisher also eating a snack.  At about 3:30-4:00 Fisher always raids the kitchen and pantry.  It is his scrounging hour and it is almost like clockwork.

 Cooper has started to boycott his high chair.  I don't think he has sat in it for about 4 days now.  So annoying.  I don't know what is more aggravating- not being able to get him to sit down and eat or the messes he would make when I am able to convince him to sit down and eat.  This is one of the reasons I am ready to not be pregnant anymore.  Getting down on the floor to clean up these messes EVERY SINGLE meal is not fun for my back or bloated body.

 Todd's parents came down to visit.  It was quick but so nice to have them!  The boys love when they visit.  Here Fisher and Grandma are preparing to play a game of checkers- one of Fisher's new favorites.

 A few pictures of my Valentines Day roses.

We are down to one week until my due date.  My Dr. is going to strip me on Monday the 7th (due date is the 9th) and I am hoping that will be enough to start labor.  With my luck, probably not but a girl can hope.  I am feeling a little anxious as there are still a lot of things to be done around the house in preparation for selling but my mom is flying out today so hopefully we can tackle a few of those projects before the baby comes.  Todd takes his Mock Boards this Friday and Saturday.  It will be a relief to have those over with.

This picture represents what our life is going to be after the baby arrives.  Fisher still has a hard time staying dry at night, Cooper is not even remotely aware of the concept of potty training and the baby...well, we will be back to the 12 diapers a day for one baby alone.

Guess what?

We couldn't be more excited.

(Well, actually we could be if there weren't 12 gazillion other things going on but I am sure once that baby arrives he will make us forget about those other pressing matters for a little while.)

January in a Nutshell

I have not been taking as many pictures lately so this catching up should be pretty fast.

My favorite picture of the boys in the month of January.  Fisher would not sit down and watch a movie or show until he was about 4.  Even still he will normally do other activities while watching TV.  Cooper on the other hand has already discovered Elmo and will sit mesmerized in front of the TV, especially if Fisher watches with him.  At first it bothered me that Cooper is one of those kids who is glued to the screen.  Now I am wondering if it will be my saving grace when I have to feed the baby and can't keep an eye on everything Cooper is doing.

 One night reading scriptures the boys were going crazy.  (Who am I kidding?  EVERY night the boys go crazy, I just happened to pull out the camera on this particular one.) 

 Cooper has to mimic everything Fisher does.

 And what would January be without snow?  We had quite a few snow days this winter.  There were no BIG snowstorms but enough snow to keep the boys happy.

 I have more pictures of Cooper for the same reason as always.  Fisher won't let me take pictures of him very often.

 Cooper loves riding on his little bike although he tries to get on Fisher's whenever he can.  He does not understand that he is still a little guy but don't try telling him that.  Stubborn little beast.

While Cooper played, Fisher was put to work shoveling snow.  :)  Todd bought him a little snow shovel so that he could help Daddy shovel the driveway and sidewalk.

Before the baby arrives I figured I needed to catch up on January & February so here goes.  I am starting off with New Years Weekend where G & G Church & Jedd came down to visit.

9 Months and Counting

I have pictures to catch up on but I am honestly so tired and busy doing other things I have not had time to play around on the computer too much.  Now that I have officially hit the 9 month mark I am feeling a little stressed (okay, A LOT stressed) about getting everything done to get the house ready to sell before the baby comes.  Physically I am so ready to meet the new little guy.  Emotionally and mentally I think I would have a mental break-down if he were to come early (which I am not too concerned about since I have gone over with both my other boys.)  Once this (nameless) little guy enters the world it is going to be a whirlwind of epic proportions with Todd taking clinical boards, graduating, family reunions, selling the house, finding another place to live, Todd leaving me for a month while he does Officer Training, MOVING (ugh...), getting settled in, having Fisher start Kindergarten...It is going to be one massive non-stop adventure.  I don't think I am ready for it all.  I need more time.  But then I feel my back pain and sciatica and ab separation and this little chub's PAINFUL movement and I think "How I am going to make another 4 weeks of this??"  Despite all of our fears and stresses we are SO excited to meet this sweet baby and we are so excited to move on to the next phase of our life. We truly are.  That is not to say we won't be relieved when it is over and we have survived.  :)  That is all my ranting for now.

Our little Monster

I was so on the ball in the beginning of Cooper's life with giving updates on what he was up to and all of his growth stats.  That changed about 6 months ago but I decided to actually do an 18 month post for him although he will be 19 months in a few days.

-Weight: 22lbs 6oz

-Height: 32.5 inches

-Head: 19 4/16

 A few of Cooper's interests these days are:

-Saying Daddy, Mommy, Doggy, hi and barking like a dog.

-Barking like a dog when he sees any furry animal.

-Being outside.

-Playing with Fisher's remote control cars.

 -Putting hats on and off his head.

-Wearing socks like gloves.

-Playing "chase" where he takes off running from us while screaming.

-Eating my chap stick and raiding my purse.

-Eating more food than his big brother.

-Bottom molars and a few more top teeth coming in.

-Being a horrible teether.

-Looking at/reading books.

-Pulling my bookmarks out of my books.

-Does not like having his diaper changed.

-Loves taking baths.

 -Wearing shoes (this goes for any pair of shoes he comes across.  No shoe is safe from him.)

-Having temper tantrums.

-Does NOT enjoy nursery.

-Attacking Fisher when he's on the ground.

(Goes for the eyes and does what we refer to as a "bum drop" aka sitting on Fisher's face.)

-Dancing to music.

-Loves when we sing "The Wheels on the Bus".

-Really attached to Daddy.

-Speaks a lot of jibberish.

-Can identify his nose, eyes, mouth, head, tummy, belly button, toes, fingers, hands.

-When you ask him where his nose is, he sniffs instead of of pointing to his nose.

-When you ask him where his eyes are he blinks.

-Climbing on everything, especially the big table.

-Dancing on tables and Fisher's bed.

-"Talking" on the phone.

-Playing with all the electronics- especially the remote and receiver.

-Giving kisses.

-Separation anxiety.

-Ever since our trip at Christmas he hates his car seat.

-Throwing objects when he is happy and sad.  (It hurts when you get hit no matter what the mood. :)

It is hard to believe that Cooper won't be our little baby in less than two months.  He will have to become our medium baby once the new little guy is born. 

We love our little monster baby!
