Blue Eyed Boys

Thought I would share a few photos of the boys.

We spend a lot of time outside anymore.  With the beautiful weather we have been having I try to walk to Fisher's school with the stroller to pick him up.  We normally play at one of the parks for a while before heading home where we then ride bikes and scooters and play with the neighbors.  Fisher is becoming a lot more daring in his riding now that he has friends who show him tricks.

Fisher is almost done with Kindergarten.  This school year has flown by.  And NO, I am not ready for summer. :)

It is that time of year...

A funny picture of the boys watching a movie.

Fisher has had some random illness the past couple of days and so he has stayed home school.  At first he had a deep, barking cough but that has gotten better.  Mostly he has been running a steady 102 temp, is completely lethargic, has no appetite...I don't know what to think of it but it has actually been a pleasant couple of days hanging out with the boys and feeling no pressure to accomplish anything.

I tried to keep the kids separated but have learned that it is a lost cause.  I am just happy they stopped fighting for a couple days.

A typical outfit for Cooper.  He is really into dressing himself these days.  He told me he wanted to wear his airplane shirt so he put it on.  Since it was backwards and he couldn't see the planes on the front of the shirt I asked him where the planes went and he said "they flew away!"  I thought that was a pretty good answer.
Also, looking at this picture makes me cringe b/c of the carpet.  Today while the boys were having a Scooby-Doo Marathon since Fisher was sick, I pulled out my SpotBot and cleaned the major traffic areas with the hose.  I can't believe I waited so long to do it.  Something that was driving me insane for so long and    I could have taken care of it all along.

Cooper has become our little golfer.  Todd is jealous of his follow through and he has been known to hit the neighbors house a time or two.  Gold balls over the fence are a daily occurance.

The ball is in the air but form my angle it looks to be down by his feet.

Ball in the middle of the fence
 Follow through.

It is cute to watch him tee off.  He gets all fidgety just like a grown up.

Ball right under the top of the fence off to the left.

You all could probably care less but we think it is pretty funny how into golf he is.

Here is our little baby Tucker who is seeming like such a big boy.  He loves walking around with any objects that are long and can poke an eye out.

I love this picture of him.

He has entered the DESTROY all DVDs phase.

Kind of a hit and miss eater but he sure know how to throw his food.

Kind of a big head but we think he is pretty darn cute. :)

 Another picture that I love.

Love this one too.  This was today.  Tucker is by far the most cuddly baby we have had.

Here is our new baby bunny, Carrot.  I haven't seen Pickle in a week or so.  Still not sure if Pickle is the mom or dad.

Fisher made me an early Mother's Day present.  I love it.  I also love my Mom and Mom-in-law and Grandma.  I am blessed to have such wonderful women in my life.

Fisher's Artwork

Fisher spends a lot of time coloring.  I found myself with stacks and stacks of pictures and decided to start taking pictures of some of my favorites so I don't feel guilty when they find their way to the garbage.
These two are probably my favorites.  Cooper tore the covers off back and front and Fisher decided to fix them.

A picture of animals for Cooper.

 Angry Birds.

He is in a snake phase right now.

Our house and us in a big thunderstorm.

 I loved this one.
"I wish I had 100___________ and Fisher put BOOKS.
Love it.

Now he writes all the time but I loved when he started bringing home all of his writing assignments.

He went through a bubble letter phase.

This was another fun one.  I came home from New York and saw this.  When I went to turn it over since it said "flip to the back"....

I saw his to-do list from while I was out of town.
I love his spelling and check marks.
Todd must have taken a really big nap if the check mark is any indication. :)
Quiet Time
Playing Wii
WochTV (Watch TV)
Build with Dad
Maby we cood go to darry queen (Maybe we could go to Dairy Queen)
Dad Tacks a nap (takes)
We all be nice

Another day he was designing a bunch of different guns with his trio blocks.
He then made a list of his favorites.
My Guns
My list of my best gun invenchins (inventions)
The A gun
The dubl gun (double)
The medim gun (medium)
The best gun

Fisher has taken an interest in my hair lately and loves to play with it and brush it out.  Last night as he was brushing it he said, in awe, "Mom, you are like Rapunzel!"

February-April Picture Dump

I found a bunch of pictures on my other card from the past few months and thought I would share a few.
This picture of Todd with the boys may not be the best picture of any of them but I love it.  It is a picture of my life with all my boys.

Fisher is almost done with Kindergarten.  He still loves school and spends most of his recesses playing on the monkey bars and playing chase.  It sounds like he spends a lot of time chasing the girls.

He is reading like a champ now.  I often find myself surprised with the big words he is able to bust out.   He really enjoys informative books about things like animals, planets, bugs etc.  His teacher said that is what he prefers at school as well.

He has entered the Star Wars phase which is funny because Todd and I have never really been into them.  He also loves to ride his bike and is learning how to ride a skate board from our neighbor across the street.  He passed his little introductory swim class and is now starting the next level.  Hopefully he will be able to swim by this summer.
Fisher is our tender hearted, emotionally driven child.

 Cooper.  Cooper, Cooper Cooper.
Cute on the outside.

 Terror on the inside.
Actually, it is more like sweet deep down but a monster on the exterior.
As if Fisher did not push me to my limit, Cooper decided to compete to see who can officially commit me to the looney bin first.

He still has that joyful side to him and is genuinely happy when he is not being a stubborn little stinker.  I thought Fisher was stubborn but we have learned he is more emotional.  Cooper is stubborn sown to his pinky toes.

He loves to break things, make things dirty, do whatever he is told NOT to do, play outside on his scooter, color on anything BUT paper, play with Tucker, push Tucker down, take toys away from Tucker and sit, jump.or roll on Tucker.

He also likes to spill at least one food item all over our carpet once a day.  I spend a lot of time chasing after him.  We talk a lot about potty training but I haven't really attempted yet.

This is a random picture from this winter.  It was a really mild one here with only a couple of snow storms.  Fisher loves the snow.  Cooper does not.  He is going to have to get over it when we move to Misawa.

Cooper climbs to the top of the bookshelves and the fridge.  When he is not climbing he is hanging from things...sometimes upside down.  His favorite hanging locations are from doorknobs, counters, fridge door, banister and dining room table.
Cooper loves primary music and listens to Fisher's cd's constantly.
His talking has also advanced a lot.  It never stops and now we can understand a lot more of what he is saying.

Tucker is a happy baby but is kind of a picky eater.

When he isn't in the mood to eat something you know soon enough because he throws it at you.

I love this picture with all his hair and big smile but I promise his hair did not look like this before I cut it.  It was a big fat mop of wispy hair that was driving me nuts.  (He had already had four trims to the point.
)
I decided to give him his first buzz to even it all out.
I don't think he was very happy.

Tucker started walking about a week after he turned one.  He also has his bottom two teeth in and they are just the cutest little things.  Now that he has some teeth and is walking I feel okay about him being one.  He loves to run around the house, have us chase after him, play with his big brothers, help me unload the dishes while I am trying to load them, carry around the orange race track pieces and loves to hit Cooper on the head with blocks.
He says Mama and Dada although he doesn't acknowledge us necessarily.  He says hi and "Ooom-uh" for kiss.  He gives us big fat kisses and waves hi and by.  He throws himself on the ground and hits his forehead to the floor when he gets upset- already starting with the tantrums.  He cuddles with me when he is  tired and still sucks two of his fingers backwards when he is sleepy.  His blue eyes stop people everywhere we go and he loves music.
We love every little piece of him.

New Jersey: Days Three & Four. The End.

I have not seen my (Great) Uncle Bruce or Aunt Diana in fifteen years.  This part of the trip was just as much fun for us as NYC for completely different reasons.

They were so sweet and interesting to talk to but most of all they were funny.  We laughed a lot.  I loved hearing the family stories about my grandparents.  I love to read historical fiction and it was like reading one of my books except these stories were the real deal!

I also loved seeing Diana's travel photo albums.  They have seen a lot of the world.

They picked us up from the ferry and we returned to their house so that we could change our clothes before heading out to dinner at their country club with two of their friends.  They were so nice.  Bruce calls them the "crippled" club.   He is a funny guy and supplied us with jokes every chance he got.
I had the most delicious curry chicken.

A couple of the waitresses were from Japan and when they found out that I was moving there they brought me out some magazines one of them had just brought back from a trip back home.  The other one made me an origami crane for good luck.  It is hanging on my glass in the picture.  They taught me how to say thank you in Japanese so I guess I am all set. :)
(Speaking of which, Todd finally received his stack of paperwork to start processing our move.  It is a little overwhelming to think about everything we have to do to prepare!)

That night my mom and I took turns riding the electric chair up and down their stairs.  We loved it 15 years ago and it was still fun to do.

A picture together to remember a wonderful visit.

They had a beautiful back yard.  In fact, the whole area they live in was beautiful.  While my parents have wild horses in Reno, out here there are wild deer.  Or tame dear more like it.  There were three of the back against the fence.

When they got tired of us oogling them they stood right by the fence...

And hopped right on over.

I have to mention Phoebe too sine she is part of their family.  She is a dog they rescued a few years back.  It was cute how Bruce & Diana talked to her.

It was sad saying good-bye.  My mom especially was emotional as being there reminded her of her own parents.  Bruce is my late grandpa's only sibling and there were so many things about him that reminded us of Grandpa.  Being in their house took my mom back to her childhood.

Muhammad came and picked us up to make the 40 minute drive back to the airport.  I call this picture "Ready to travel."

Our last view of the NYC Skyline off in the distance.  That day was almost 90 degrees and muggy so the view wasn't as clear.

We had a layover in Chicago.

Took off into the sunset...

Said goodbye to Chicago as well.

And returned home to a house full of cute little boys who I was able to appreciate all the more because of my weekend away.  The boys loved their shirts and giant pencils and the Angry Bird fruit snacks from FAO Schwartz.

The next morning we found our wild rabbit, Pickle, had finally returned to our yard.  Cooper has been missing him for weeks.  I think he was off with a lady friend celebrating the arrival of spring.  Unless Pickle is actually a lady and then we might be seeing that SHE was off celebrating with a male friend.  Time will tell.
It was a wonderful trip with a lot of fun memories.
Thanks Mom!  And thank you Todd.  I am such a lucky girl to be married to you. :)
I guess I can say that my birthday is finally over 3 months later.
Now I might get around to posting about Easter.
Although I wouldn't hold your breath.
