Fourth of July 2012

We spent a lot of time outdoors on the fourth.  We did a lunchtime BBQ on top of an apartment building downtown that was a lot of fun.  It was with the fellow residents in Todd's program.  Whenever we show up to work functions our boys do a good job of adding a little chaos to the event but everyone is really cool about it.

We came home and did naps and then headed on over for our second BBQ of the day with my friend Kelsey and her husband Mike.

There were other kids there and lots of cupcakes and sparklers so the boys had a great time.

We had only been back in town for a couple days from returning to Reno so the boys were a little tired and grumpy.  We took my mom to the airport right before we went to the first BBQ.  It is always sad when Mom goes home.

The kids playing with poppers.

Tucker loved the fireworks.  It was a lot of fun seeing him so mesmerized.

While it was still light out, the guys started with shooting off these little parachute guys for the kids.

Kelsey and Whitney. :)

My boys watching the fireworks.  We had to force Fisher to sit and watch instead of running out into the street and getting too close.

I loved these little guys that spun around in circles and turned different colors.

It is crazy how many people do their own fireworks here in Nebraska.  Last year, we had just moved in and Todd was leaving for COT the next day.  We went up on a hill and had a 360 degree view on hundreds of displays going on all around town.

The boys loved the sparklers.  Thanks to our friends for sharing!

Happy fourth of July!
